Drafting Detailer/Checker

Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drafting Detailer/Checker to join our experienced team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying shop drawings for fabrication, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining accuracy throughout the detailing process. Your expertise in AISC, AWS, and NISD standards will be essential in delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently produce precise and detailed shop drawings and erection plans.
  • Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to AISC, AWS, and NISD standards for structural steel detailing.
  • Communicate project details, revisions, and updates effectively with management and project teams.
  • Revise, update, and maintain project documentation, ensuring consistency in repeat designs and modifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract drawings, standard specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and steel detailing best practices.
  • Experience working within AISC, AWS, and NISD standards to ensure compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams.
