Labor and Employment Partner (Practice Group Lead)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Our client, a well-established and highly respected law firm based in Pittsburgh, is seeking a seasoned and driven Labor and Employment Partner to lead their dynamic Labor and Employment Practice Group. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic legal professional to step into a high-impact leadership role within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
As the Practice Group Lead, you’ll guide a talented team while advising a diverse portfolio of clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters—from high-stakes litigation to proactive compliance strategies. The ideal candidate combines legal excellence with a natural aptitude for client development and team mentorship.
What You'll Do:

Serve as a trusted advisor on complex labor and employment issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour compliance, and employee benefits.

Represent clients in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and alternative dispute resolution forums.

Lead internal investigations, workplace audits, and develop risk mitigation strategies for clients.

Draft and negotiate employment agreements, severance packages, and collective bargaining agreements.

Handle traditional labor law matters, including union negotiations, arbitrations, and unfair labor practice cases.

Mentor and develop junior attorneys while fostering a collaborative team culture.

Partner with firm leadership on strategic growth initiatives and business development efforts.
What We're Looking For:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Minimum of 10 years of labor and employment law experience, with a strong foundation in both litigation and labor relations.

Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in good standing.

Demonstrated experience advising clients before local, state, and federal agencies.

Background in traditional labor matters and labor/employment issues in transactional settings is highly desirable.

A track record of successfully leading teams and growing client relationships.
