| Sales Manager covering Midwest / West Coast – Food Safety and Quality Testing Services.
High profile technical sales manager selling scientific laboratory testing solutions for food safety and quality representing a leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
Responsibilities:
Target the dairy, beef, poultry, seafood, produce, processed food, ingredient manufacturers. Additional testing services include nutritional labeling, contaminants and pesticides.
Prospect, cultivate leads to generate revenue in accordance with company sales strategies. Develop quotations, proposals, negotiate fees, terms and conditions for potential program clients. Collaborate with laboratory staff on project scope, services, schedules and budgets for planning. Analyze sales performance by category, account and client. Client / Project follow-up. Develop new innovative revenue producing projects. Provide input to designing and implementation of advertising and marketing campaigns. Conduct marketing studies and surveys to determine market needs and monitor customer satisfaction. Represent the Company, Products and Services at Industry Trade Shows and Conferences.
Qualifications:
BS - Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related.
5+ years selling Quality / Safety laboratory, food or agriculture testing services.
Familiar with food industry regulatory and quality standards.
Experience working in a testing laboratory and Food QA / QC experience
is a plus.
Any major Midwest or West Coast base with access to major airport, home office, appropriate travel required throughout the Midwest and West Coast.
Competitive base salary + 30% bonus / performance program. |
