Description: Shortenings, margarines and salad and cooking oils. Responsibilities: Manage policy and procedure creation. Manage food security issues. Development, improvement and maintenance of HACCP Programs. Conduct external and internal audits of the food safety and HACCP programs as required. Work with customers on Technical information, application information or product concerns. Ensure all sanitation procedures are in compliance. Coordinate collaborative testing and check samples. Conduct regular assessment of QA systems. Work with Plant Quality and production teams. Supplier / Vendor management program. Review information from suppliers to assure proper product conformance, requirements and regulations. Report to Plant Manager. Interface with corporate QA. Will have one direct report ? Plant Chemist. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Chemistry required. 5+ years? experience in a Laboratory or Research & Development (R&D) environment preferred Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations and standards associated with food manufacturing. Edible Oils experience preferred.
